Dear colleagues, dear friends,
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is a honour and a privilege to host and to invite you at the 26th Symposium of the Belgian Hospital Physicists Association which will be held in Charleroi on February 4th and 5th, 2011.
Recently, medical physics have been very successful in exploring new horizons, focusing on the development of innovative high precision technologies for imaging cancer patients during treatment and improving permanently the precision in treatment delivery, on the use of high technology equipment in imaging in the domains of Nuclear Medicine and Radiology.
In this framework, BHPA2011 will have an outstanding scientific programme that will offer a relevant and cutting edge science and education in radiation physics, imaging and technology. Moreover, in the past, BHPA symposia have many times recognized the need to congratulate young scientists in the various fields of medical physics. BHPA2011 will continue with this important challenge and offer a Young Physicist prize focused on an educational gift.
We hope that the rich and challenging scientific programme will convince you to attend BHPA2011. It gives you not only the opportunity to meet your colleagues but also the industry. All of the leading exhibitors will contribute to a large industrial exhibition in new imaging, dosimetry, delivery, planning functionalities offering the opportunity to view the latest products and services in cancer treatment, diagnostics and science of detectors.
The General Assembly of our society will occur on Friday February 4th and will be continued by some enriching cultural and social events that will occur in an authentical “carolo” ambiance that reflects Charleroi’s history.
Looking forward to meeting you in Charleroi in February 4th and 5th , 2011 !
