Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of Jelle Scheurleer and myself I am sending you more information on the hands-on course Quality Assurance in Advanced Radiation Therapy (QAART)that will be given by Inholland University of Applied Sciences in April this year (2012). This hands-on course is designed for medical physicists (in training), medical engineers and specialised radiation therapy technologists (RTTs), working in RT departments. Physicists, engineers or RTTs working for companies that develop RT products may also benefit from this course. The course will take place from Tuesday 17-APR-12 to Saturday 21-APR-12 and will be given in English.

This hands-on courseis directed primarily to professionals with a physics-technical background and assumes some prior theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of quality assurance. The most important parts of this course are the practical exercises in using various types of QA equipment. These sessions will be supported by four companies and expert users from RT departments.

The course is meant as an addition to existing courses and focuses on the practical aspects of QA of advanced radiotherapy techniques. Detailed information on the course can be found in the attached flyer and the programme. If you need additional information, please do not hesitate to contact us.
